This is me…

Hallo and welcome to my blog!

There are only a few things in life that I ♥ more than my job…. my faith, my hubby, my son and of course…. my coffee! :)  After a stunt of 5 years in corporates and broadcasting media, the wedding world finally lured me in for good.  I ♥ being creative and I try to do something unique and special with every single shoot that I do.  Weddings to me is all about moments and memories….  after all, apart from your rings, your wedding photos or album will be THE only tangible thing you have left of your most special day!

I think what I’m trying to say is this:

“I think Christelle really captured the feel of the wedding and the venue and you guys as a couple! I’m sure you must be really happy with her because every picture I saw looked like it should go in a frame on a mantelpiece!! It must be so hard to look through the pictures and choose because they really were all unbelievable! Save her contacts for my own wedding please!”  London based wedding planner & friend of wedding client, Michelle Edwards (April 2010)

Have a look through the blog…. laugh a little, cry a little, oooohhh and aaaaah and if you like what you see, just pop me a mail!

Every so often you come across clients that are special and unique.  I am sitting here trying to pin point just exactly what it is about Angelo and Kamilah that makes them so absolutely amazing people…  I think it’s simply just WHO they are.  If ever you have seen a gentleman, Angelo fits the glove perfectly and Kamilah is so compassionate and blessed with a radiant grace!  As my videographer so kindly pointed out:  I love the way they interact with each other.  Respect, love, adoration, joy and obvious bliss!  Angelo and Kamilah, you are the kinds of people that make for true inspiration!

Matt & Cath / Silvermist / Cape Town / South Africa / Part 1

Over the years I have had some horrible weather conditions ranging from Karoo thunder and lightning storms to an excruciating heat wave of plus 38 degrees Celsius but I must admit that Matt & Cath’s wedding day weather ranks up there with the worst-of-the-worst. It was horrible Cape Town weather of cold, rain and HOWLING stormy winds.  But the couple never showed their disappointment and even braved the conditions (and by so doing getting soaking wet), to get some stunning images.  If there ever was a wedding I which I could do over, it would be this one… simply because all of their venues were so unique and pretty!  The lovely stone church with lots of photo opportunities and the reception venue, Silvermist, truly has some absolute breathtaking views.  None of these could be used due to the weather.  But I had a really big reason to smile and was thanking my good ‘luck’ as we were granted special permission to shoot in the luxurious 5 star Hohenort Hotel which, of course, I LOVED!  Photographer’s paradise! :)
